FIRE HALL NO. 18 – SHAUGHNESSY
This brick clad fire hall is located in a well established Vancouver residential neighborhood. The masonry exterior replicates the color of the brick used on the former fire hall located on this site while we provided a new modern design and architectural vocabulary. The original brick was salvaged for other uses, as were a number of materials. The original fire ladder stiles were refinished and reused to create a unique wood ceiling in the public areas. This Fire Hall was done in collaboration with the late Ib G. Hansen Architect
